Venture Capital Investment Competition

The Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) is an annual competition held around the world. Students become a Venture Capitalist for a day to make investment decisions on real startups, execute due diligence, and negotiate deals with real entrepreneurs.

Students interested in VCIC must register to participate in the Dartmouth Undergraduate Early-Stage Venture Capital Workshop, a program that culminates in the internal Dartmouth VCIC competition. The winning team from this competition advances to the VCIC regionals, for the opportunity to compete for a spot in the VCIC Global Finals.

    • Think like a venture capitalist, by learning how to analyze startups, interview founders, ask the right questions, and create strong investment strategies.

    • Engaging sessions taught by Jim Feuille D’79, Adjunct Professor and Faculty Advisor, Private Equity and Venture Capital at the Tuck School of Business

    • Apply the lessons by negotiating deals with real startups seeking investments.

    • Lectures and accompanying assignments will be a ~3 hours/week commitment.

    • For more information or to get involved, contact the Magnuson Student Leadership Board.
